Information in this file covers a portion of the Pendley family in Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina between about 1620 and 1800. It is the result of about 30 years of research by 2 cousins, Gary Mitchell and Eldon Pendley. Gary did the final writting of the manuscript, but my copy (from which we took this information) came from a summary from Eldon M Pendley. They indicate that inormation came from library research from the two of them over the years, a courthouse by courthouse search that took every weekend for two years by Gary, and an old family bible that was found by pure luck and a lot of work. The indication was made that there was information found on colateral lines, but it wasn't included, at least in this summary. It is expected that we will be able to augment this information with more back up documentation from Gary and Eldon as they are ready to release the information.
