Thomas Spilman

"The living and dead in Virginia (a list of name of the living in Virginia)". Feb 16, 1623 (pg ), as Thomas Spilman, living in Elizabeth City.

Muster of Inhabitants of Virginia settlements, 7 February 1624/5, as Thomas Spilman, age 24, head of household, living in Elizabeth city, having arrived on the ship George in 1616.

Will of Thomas Spilman of Virginia, gent, was made in England and proved in the Perogative Court of Canterbury on 24 apr 1627. Administration of estate given to his brother, Francis Spillman "during the absence of the relict, Hannah Spillman, in Virginia". He bequeathed to his daughter Mary Spillman in Virginia, all of his property here (meaning England) and left to his wife what he has in Virginia. In will Thomas is referred to as "late of Truro, in Cornwall, deceased."

Now the dep't replyeth: I asked my Sonn William Pinley whether Mr Drew had made a will or not."

Christopher Bettie, from Chesterfield, for Felony. Convicted
Ishmeal Drew, Thomas Bryan and Thomas Pendley, from Richmond for Murder. Pendley discharged, and the others convicted of Manslaughter.
